Topic: My University Life

Time Order: There are so many things waiting for me to accomplish. As a freshman, I want to get English licenses as soon as possible. For example: GEPT high-intermediate level, TOEFL and TOEIC. When I become a sophomore, I would like to participate some activities no matter in school or out of the school, and spend some time on the club. And then, when I become a junoir or a senior, I need to prepare exams for my graduate school. I have to spend more time on my studies. That are my plans during my university life.

Cause Effect: There are some reasons why I want to enter the university. First of all, it's much easier to get a job. And the second reason is that I have my own goal-becoming an English teacher. Therefore, I need to get my college degree in order to realize my dream. At last, entering university also broadens my horizon. Besides textbooks, it not only helps me gain more knowledge but also helps me learn how to be independent.

Comparison: There are so many differences between high school life and university life. First, we have more freedom . We can have more time to do things we like. And second, unlike high school life, we all need to be independent since there are some universities which are very far away to certain people. These two are the biggest differences between high school and university.

My Topic: Cellphones

There are so many advantages in using cellphones. For example, first, since they are so small and light, it's convenient for everybody to carry wherever they are. Just put it in your pocket, and you can take it anywhere. Second, it also has a lot of functions, like, alarm clock, games, text message and phone book. At last, it can even download various kinds of music from rock, hip-hop to country music.

However, it also has some negative sides. For one thing, it releases some radiations that might be harmful to our health. For another, some children may spend so much time talking on the cellphone that they may omit their schoolwork. At last, some people may also spend a lot of money talking on the cellphone instead of the homephone. That might increase their parents' financial burden.

Cellphone can help us do many things due to their various kinds of functions. For instance, thanks to its alarm clock, we don't have to worry about oversleeping. In addition, we can also surf the internet through the cellphone. It can help us find a lot of information. Text message, we can even send a letter to our beloved friends. And there are even games that we can enjoy. Anyway, in this modern society, it's necessary for everybody to have a cellphone.

A book review

I have recently read about a classical book:Daddy-Long-Legs in my English lecture.It's about an oldest orphan girl who would take care of the eleven children from 4 to 7. evevy day, she was so busy. Especially on the first Wednesday of the month in that the trustees would have a regular meeting.One day the girl was called into the boss office. The boss said to her that one of our trustees would like to send you to a college. Upon listening to what the boss said, she was so excited.By the way, this secret trustee is exactly the book's name:Daddy-Long-Legs.''You don't have to give him anything as a reward. What you have to do is to write a regular letter once a month. That's the only thing he would like you to do.'',said the boss

So, in conclusion, this book is made up of 76 letters. the girl uses a humorous and interestinng way to express her colorful life during university.It's really worthed reading.

1.I am from Da-Li Taichung.When I was in the elementary school , I was very interested in languages learing- English.Therefore.
